NaNoWriMo

okay, this is something that does not concern japanese guys and dramas of any sort. i know my blog has been filled with that stuff for the past few weeks and it will continue to go that way (i'm sorry) BUT for this post i'm announcing something: i'm joining NaNoWriMo or National Novel Writing Month. (Why is it called NaNoWriMo if it's international anyway?)

So, um, actually this is kind of big for me because i've never written anything remotely long enough to be called a novel but i have tons of ideas just swimming around in my head and i can't wait to let them out. and if you must know, writing a novel is one of my biggest dreams which i could probably have finished eons ago had i not been a lazy bum.

anyway i'm posting this here because in the NaNoWriMo introduction email it said:

"Tell everyone you know that you're writing a novel in November. This will pay big dividends in Week Two, when the only thing keeping you from quitting is the fear of looking pathetic in front of all the people who've had to hear about your novel for the past month. Seriously. Email them now about your awesome new book. The looming specter of personal humiliation is a very reliable muse. "
