since i don't think i have described any of my classes except p.e.
Thursday, June 28, 2007
I'll describe them now! :D
- English (En 11) - Ms. Len Canilao - Well, thing is, Mrs. David Beckham, (I refuse to call her Mrs. Depp. :P) as she prefers to be called, was my English teacher back in AJSS and if I'm not mistaken, she used to be Mrs. Brad Pitt (and also Mrs. Depp, but I really refuse to acknowledge that.) She's fun and engaging, and she inspires us to think critically... what more could you ask for? Besides, another plus... we don't have quizzes, only writing exercises... YAY!
- Literature (Lit 13) - Mr. Mark Anthony Cayanan - He's something else, our lit teacher, if you get my drift. He's fun and he gives all sorts of weird insights about the things he lets us read. The con is that he gives objective quizzes, about DETAILS of all things... I still prefer Mr. Roque, though, when it comes to this subject.
- Physics Lecture (PS 1) - Mr. Joel Tiu Maquiling - A bit like Mr Rios, only better... :D He's also fun. Actually I don't have a teacher that isn't fun... which is cool really, since I managed to avoid the boring ones.
- Physics Lab (PS 2) - Mr. Bennett (I don't remember his first name.) - He' s really nice, but we don't get to interact much with him since it's lab. All we do is ask him questions...
- Asian History (Hi 16) - Ms. Stephanie Coo - She's Chinese, and she really does speak with a Chinese accent, but it's not like nobody understands her or anything... she's also fun. (Btw, kasama ko dito mostly 2nd year students... but there are also a few 1st years.)
- Filipino (Fil 1) - Ms. Jema Pamintuan - She's fun, and she gives reasonable tests. She's also rather nice. She speaks in straight Filipino although sometimes she uses words like "space" then make them sound Filipino-y by making it "espasyo"... Although that word might really exist. I don't know, I suck in Filipino; and, of course,
- P.E. (Physical Fitness for Women) - Mr. Gilbert Cheng - Actually, it's just Weight Training for Women. They just made it sound less scary.
- IntACT - I have no idea. Wala pa kaming ginagawa eh.
Smile! :D

another fun reading assignment from me to you... i don't know if you actually read these stuff, but try one, okay?
so, my reaction, hello?? stupid nga naman tlga eh noh. food should be enjoyed, not crammed into our mouths like it's the end of the world. and even if it's the end of the world, food should still be enjoyed. in tagalog, lasap-lasapin mo, wag mong lamunin... ayan, buti nga, now all he can ingest is whatever he can suck through a straw.
anyway, another comic! (i swear, someday yahoo! is gonna sue me for stealing their content to make my blog more "fun" and "enjoyable")
It's just really fun to read Brewster Rockit comics because he's so immensely stupid... haha... weird guy...
I'll think of more stuff to post later... :D

Hey guys!
Ely's kind of good at this kind of thing...
May mali daw sa list of officers ko eh, sadly... i think it's the first year rep, but i'm not so sure... i guess it will be up to madame president to tell me what's wrong...
I bet you highlight everything when you read... :P
anyway, about that field trip to the zoo to count the number of stripes on a zebra, baka pwede rin kayo pumunta sa pet shop to count the spots on a dalmatian or something... haha corny, weird... whatever... :P
wla lang. i just felt like another entry... bye!
:D

A Rather Sweet Story
This is the story of two elderly people living in a Florida mobile home park. He was a widower and she a widow. They had known one another for a number of years.
Now, one evening there was a community supper in the big activity center. These two were at the same table, across from one another. As the meal went on, he made a few admiring glances at her and finally gathered up his courage to ask her, "Will you marry me?"
After about six seconds of 'careful consideration, ' she answered. "Yes, Yes, I will."
The meal ended and with a few more pleasant exchanges, they went to their respective places. Next morning, he was troubled. Did she say 'yes' or did she say 'no'? He couldn't remember. Try as he would, he just could not recall. Not even a faint memory. With trepidation, he went to the telephone and called her. First, he explained to her that he didn't remember as well as he used to. Then he reviewed the lovely evening past. As he gained a little more courage, he then inquired of her, "When I asked if you would marry me, did you say 'Yes' or did you say 'No'?"
He was delighted to hear her say, "Why, I said, 'Yes, yes I will' and I meant it with all my heart." Then she continued, "And I am so glad that you called, because I couldn't remember who had asked me."
I just thought it was cute. Don't you? Actually joke daw to, pero di naman cya talagang nakakatawa. hehe, oh well.

Hello, hello, hello, can you hear me now?

so. guess who's the new sms president???
*drum rolls please*
CANDICE!
aba ang aking successor... haha...
kala ko nung una si kevin na president pag pasok ko sa avr kc nakatayo cya sa harap (kasi i was late, as in late for an hour)
then pag upo ko sa likod i realized that candice was the one talking... (as in "nominations for *whatever* is now open") tsaka ko narealize... si candice ba president???
then i asked ma'm metran "sino president?"
then she went "si candice"
kung nakita nyo ko kanina you'll laugh at my expression... haha :D
anyway, congrats to candice and I'm sure you'll do a better job than me! alam ko masama ako for not believing in your star power... ngaun ko lang nalaman na popular ka pala (well at least in the geeky sms world) hehehe... cheers!
so anyway, list of officers:
President: Candice Ty
VP: Leah Ang
Secretary: Kevin Dy (who is, by the way, a very good secretary kasi mas maganda sulat nya sa akin and also mas burara pa ako sa kanya)
Asst. Secretary (last year naman wala nito ah...): Cheryl Chong (wahahah... sana pag dating ng 4th year nya siya na president... hehe)
Treasurer: Christine Virtudazo
OTHERS
I
DO
NOT
REMEMBER
Except for:
1st year rep: Hezekiah See
2nd year rep: Arnie Ug
4th year rep: Dianne Tan (yay :D)
so i guess the sms is in for another wonderful and hopefully fruitful year... and that matuloy na ang field trip and mas marami ang makukuhang volunteers for both the math contest and lotm...
Thank you and have a nice day!
if you got the reference to a certain disney channel show in the title, tag! :D

I've still been on the lookout for cool quotes, you know. And here are some of the nice ones I've found. (By nice, I mean sarcastic yet insightful.)
I would think the offspring of Waldo and Carmen Sandiego would be one of the greatest escape artists ever. - Ziggy Lucero
Hindi lahat ng gwapo, may girlfriend. Yung iba, may boyfriend. - Gemmo Fernandez.
And again, another comic. It's been a while.
Click on it na lang to read... sorry.

Smiles all around!
Today we had chorale.
Hi!!!
Then afterwards, we (Kathy, Riezeryl and I) went to Jollibee to eat.
Congratulations for finding Charmaine's first ever "weff" post.
And I saw Toni and Crisselle (not sure about the spelling)
I'm basically just trying this out, to see how observant (or weird) you guys are.
Then Dianne S came too.
If you're reading this, tag me and let me know!

i'm watching the dvd of the inauguration of our audi, and i'm getting all emotional. i don't know why.
well okay, i DO know why. i miss sshs... it's true how sshs is like a huge happy family... :D
i'm watching that guy sing "two butterflies" (it's my first time watching him actually because everytime he rehearses i'm always somewhere else) and i remember how atsi brenda was imitating him with the bag and everything... and i remember how that guy (i really can't remember his name) just walked into the girl's cr and went "mi-oh-mi-oh" and all that whatever...
haha... forget this post... this is charmaine getting all touchy-feely... which is a VERY rare thing... :D

I'm a happy idiot!
Yeah... that's right. The other day I found out that Almond had a blog. Then I PMed him
Me: hey, may blog ka na pala!
Moneng: oo! di mo alam? tagal na ah!
Me: o.O
well okay, it didn't really go that way but the context was about the same... then just minutes ago, i found out that audrey had a blog! why am I so clueless??? my life is sad. and there I was complaining that nobody in my class/batch had blogs and meron pala, di ko lang alam...
ANYWAY, read this.
i mean, that is like, so true. hah! well, except the only part of that experiment i don't like is, why did they do the test on boys only? chauvinist pigs! i bet girls would have scored better than boys... :P
hehehe... cge, tama na ako.
Yesterday, Isen, Zach, Justin and I went to La Salle to "visit". We took the LRT but when we got to the south gate, ayaw kaming papasukin! Bawal daw mag"visit" according to that stupid guard guy who is even less polite that M******s (if you're a stephenian you'll know who i'm talking about.)
hay. so we were stuck outside. nagMcDo n lng kami for lunch... not that bad either, you know... later in the afternoon we (Isen Zach and I... Justin slunk off to who knows where even before lunch time) went to an internet cafe and played StarCraft... haha! marunong ako, but still, you know I sucked. madaya si isen eh, loads of practice... so i guess i should start practicing also so that someday i may beat Isen! bwahahahha!
after ng starcraft nag DOTA kami... i actually have completely NO experience... sabi nila it's like warcraft 3... well okay, i've played warcraft 3, but pagdating sa game, it was so different!!! wala akong naintindihan... well okay, overstatement... naintindihan ko naman... basically you had to control this hero and keep him/her from dying... well, namatay ako ng maraming beses... i sucked more, basically... haha! si zach naman ung magaling dito... hey, maybe someday i'll get them to play girly games, kasi dun naman ako magaling... hohoho!
anyway... the people we met up with:
- Josef (nakita na namin cya nasa lrt pa lng)
- Sophia (cya nanlibre sa lunch... nakakahiya namn! haha... but you know me, miss walang hiya... :D)
- Martin (sabay kami naglunch)
- Russell
- Riezeryl
- Rachelle (sabay kami umuwi by jeep! it's fun to ride in a jeep but parang magkakalung cancer ka lang nga anytime)
- Anthony
- This higher batch stephenian girl who I think is Rhinna but am not sure... she said my name started with a D and alam nya "matalino" daw ako... i think she's mistaking me for danette. why does everyone do that? (although I'm not really complaining... :D) and besides if it was Rhinna, how could she not know that I'm Charmaine? di ba pangalan nya Rhinna Charmaine something?? :(
- another higher batch stephenian girl who talked to isen... i dont really know her personally but i've seen her around... her name is jermaine juan, i think? (btw, what's her relation with john joseph juan??) anyway sinabi niya birthday daw ni bryan manzana... oh right. i forgot. (but i knew!) haha...
- Maia! haha! (she's my blockmate...) nagvisit rin cya ng mga friends nya sa la salle... cool di ba? nag kita pa tlga kami... :D
- meron pa ata pero nakalimutan ko na...

orgs...
Tuesday, June 19, 2007
so anyway, orgs. wala lang. prang briefing...
- AMA - Ateneo Management Association - my home org... actually i'm not sure what this org does, but hey, home org daw, eh di fine. good bye P100!
- Celadon - Fil Chi org - gusto ko nmn tlga to... haha :D si isen, pamatay, parang endorser... they should pay him for that... another P100...
- AMS - Ateneo Math Society - the SMS's namesake... basically just felt like joining a "math club" because of the SMS (it's a weird logic) and also because i get to see the 4th year peeps sa sipnayan and camp math... hopefully! :D another P100 down the drain.
pumunta ako training for amc kanina kaso i was super late, like 5 pm na... so basically nakipagchat n lng ako ulit with danette (miss her na!) and sir tom and krizia and candice and also rachelle pero medyo maaga cya umalis... haha... yay! nag enjoy tlga ako sa mga ganyan... :D
cge dyan na muna i have to log out early today kasi maaga pasok ko bukas... 7:30... haha

i'm alive!!! YES!!! (online, that is.)
read this for reference.
I came home today about 6:30 na, then i was sitting there on the couch, tired, wondering what to do, when a sweet, almost heartwarming sound wafted through the air and drifted across my ears... it was the background music of ROSE Online.
I thought I was dreaming. I really couldn't believe it. It was the best feeling in my entire life.
Mag-oonline ako mamaya. CATCH ME ONLINE!!! PLEASE!!! I have been YM deprived for the past week... :D Desperado talaga... :)
will blog more later.

In RMT
Internet at home is still useless... well actually it's non-existent. So, well, there you go. I'm in RMT. And when I type it takes ages for the text to actually show up on the screen. Lalo na sa tag board. it's like, i click "GO" and after 30 seconds tska lalabas ung message ko. argh.anyway, hey mga readers ko di ko gets ung post ni ely with all those ### and ???... help n lng... haha... sorry, low IQ...
i'm an idiot. this computer doesn't read chinese. idiot. idiot. idiot. i'm blaming this computer, ok?
ang bagal bagal, grr!! nakakapikon na... haha... oh well, that's what i get for not getting a better internet connection at home... still, you know, parang gusto ko na tlgang lumipat sa ricci kaso it's like 10:15 now and mga 11:30 class ko so baka pag punta ko dun di rin naman ako makagamit... besides, faura next class ko, and duh, mas malapit dito... so, well, ayun.
there you go, my rant for the day. thank you for reading. take care!
AND DON'T FORGET TO TAG! >:D<

i'm in THE ateneo's (I'm doing that on purpose, you know) matteo ricci study hall, surfing the net, because frustratingly, our internet connection at home has gone haywire. and truth be told, PLDT's service sucks. we have been calling them for almost a month (no exaggerating) and nothing has happened at all. it's so useless it's pathetic.
anyway the other day we went to the school to visit (as in SSHS. i actually think that i will forever refer to sshs as "the school") and saw all them teachers and students... then that afternoon we stayed until like 5+ in the afternoon because the 3rd and 4th year peeps had their AMC review, and nakisit-in ako. well actually kasali naman ako tlga but really, all i did was talk to them and catch up on the news. hey you guys, miss ko n tlga kau!
darating daw si raisa today. sana lang we'll actually meet. haha...
ok, my first day. kahapon un, june 13. i actually like my teachers. they're all fun. wla pang boring na teacher, so that really is a huge plus.
um, cge, i have to go to my next class now. it's p.e. physical fitness... for women... haha... wla lang. at least hindi tapdancing. (peace)

ORSEM 2007: Soundcheck!
Sunday, June 10, 2007
Day 1: June 7, 2007
7:30 AM - 4PM
Registration
Mass
-by Fr. Nebres, the Loyola Schools president. The big boss. :D It was just like any other Catholic mass. Unfortunately, I did not get much sleep the previous night and thus found myself falling asleep in the middle of the mass. I'm a horrible student. Not that it wasn't a good sermon. It was... well, at least the parts where I was conscious.
Loyola Schools Presentations
-basically messages from each of the four schools: School of Management (YEAH!!), School of Humanities, School of Science and Engineering, and School of Social Sciences. As usual, our dean Mr. Rudy Ang (YEAH!!) was as awesome as always. :D
Group Dynamics
-bonding time basically. We were taught the two dances (I'm not sure if these are Ateneo dances or just ORSEM dances) by our TNTs (student volunteers responsible for talks and tours) and LOGs (i dont know what it means. basically just more student volunteers.) We played two games, Porn Star Pose (no comment. extreme culture shock.) and this name remembering game. I lost by the way, in the second game (loser!!!) and I was supposed to dance in front of everyone (me, who has never danced in her entire life. HAHAHA!) pero di natuloy. YES! THANK YOU LORD!
Sige joke muna.
Two people were chatting:
A: d-_-b
B: how u make that inverted b?
B: wait
B: never mind
Day 2: June 8, 2007
7:30 AM - 4:20PM
Morning Show
-concert-like... thing. basta!
Organizational Talks
-basically a presentation of all the orgs... I want to join Celadon, this Chi-Fil org. Well, you know. Ako pa, G.I. tlga, even if not in my knowledge of the Chinese language, but at least in my attitude, habits, whatever.
OrSem Film
-a short movie. it was funny, super! made by the Loyola Film Circle (an org). Parang gusto ko tuloy sumali. may isang part, where this guy was zapped by the evil villain, pero di daw cya namatay kasi he was wearing his ID... nice, db? so if ever, I should wear my ID and it could save my life! Haha. (Trust me, it was funnier when we watched it.)
Council Tours
-a tour of the student councils and different departments, etc etc.
Group Dynamics
-another game where we had to put tape on the body parts that begin with the letter ___ sa isang tao. masaya cya... hehe. another activity that was like what mrs recosana let us (4-Red '07) do at the start of last school year. parang we have to write a message for everyone in the block.
SOM Night
-FUN! parang program... i liked it. kainis wala si chris tiu. walang pa rin akong bragging rights over raisa and kathy (peace, guys! :D) hehehe... pumunta si karylle! as in the star. pinahiya niya ung host... haha... long story. di naman nya sinadya... she didnt even know. haha :D nandun din si migz escueta (di ko tlga kilala pero baka kilala nyo, ewan ko) magaling kumanta super... :D
Day 3: June 9, 2007
8AM-8PM
Morning Show
-blah. alam nyo na.
Course and Department Talks
-basically intro for our respective courses. more horror stories about BMH. 2 daw ung pinaka konting nag graduate. 16 ung pinakamarami. but i will not lose hope! i will try my best! whooo!
Campus Tours
-duh.
OrSem Night
-parang concert. hanggang 8 something.
THE END. Yay!

Checking my block... and other people's blocks... and it feels like a setup... lalo na ung mga nasa AMF tska ME...
It's a relief din na may kilala ako in my blog... like, 4 people... so well, HUGE sigh of relief (redundant)
Pati si TONI! Hey you, kablock mo si Kasey! Daya mo! Hahaha. Kablock ko si Grace Senir, si Gill Tero, tska si Maia... :D hehe...
Also, to Stephenians, kablock ko rin si Justin... hehe... 50% chance lng un noh... :D
Anyway, so, I'm lots more confident na (about my not being TOO lonely in class, not about the classes themselves, because truth be told, i'm REALLY nervous about that, hearing that it's hard, terror teachers, etc. etc.) so, well, more power to me (haha. conceited) and of course to everyone else! hehe... that's all... my taiwan blog will be... i don't know... haha... bahala na!
Enrollment tomorrow... I don't really want to see my ID pic... GAH!
