High School Musical 3 was fun! The songs were great, especially. It was worth the P150 at SM Manila. :) It's actually kind of sad that the cast is moving on, and everything. New characters were introduced but nobody can replace the original cast. As much as I hate Troy and Gabriella, they're already part of the franchise. I will especially miss Sharpay and Ryan, as they, in my opinion, are the best characters in the entire series. It's a great movie to watch if you're bored. It made me miss high school... (as if I don't miss high school almost every single day in college).

Anyway, moving on.

Stat grades are up. B ako. B AKO!!!!!!! YAY!

I'm just really happy I didn't get a C+. Because that would mean I'm on probation for my course. Which means, another C+ and it's goodbye, BMH. Sad, yes. but as of now, I'm safe. Whoopee! :D

Movies? None. Except, of course, HSM3. I watched Galileo nonstop. It's the best show eveeeer! (Di ko pa pala napapanood special ng Hana Kimi. Wah!)

Guess who's going to watch High School Musical 3 tomorrow?

Tuesday, October 28, 2008

Yup.

I don't know why I'm all hyped up for it. I'm not even in high school anymore. I didn't even like High School Musical 2.

Tsk. Peer pressure.

Besides, I'm almost an entire week late!

(I love Sharpay's dress in the posters. Don't you?)

Anyway, moving on.

Movies.......

  1. 27 Dresses - James Marsden is really cute. I don't know. He's not gorgeous or anything, he's just really cute. >.< style="font-style: italic;">the boss guy kisses Jane and they don't "feel" anything or whatever. I've always hated scenes like that. They just always seem so fake. *end of spoilers* And some of the bridesmaid dresses were actually pretty!
  2. Enchanted - Again. I know. I just love it to bits. And it's James Marsden! Again! And when I watch X-Men, it's him! Again! He's everywhere! Hah.
Actually that's it. I spent all my other time watching this Japanese drama called Galileo. It's a really smart drama. And playing this video game called Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime about a slime that bounces around with his Elasto-Blast. Yeah. It's actually a pretty cool game, mind you.

Hana Kimi SP is out! Ages ago! And I haven't watched it yet!!! AAAHHH!!!

Stupid stupid stupid MAGIS!!

Saturday, October 25, 2008

No, I'm not saying this about Magis or the spirit of doing more encouraged in the Ateneo, but MAGIS that TUTORIAL CENTER who keeps e-mailing stuff, blowing their own horns. They're so STUPID! I've been ranting about this for some time now, to other people but I'm just so so annoyed.

And they're liars. Like, seriously. I was a first-hand victim of their lies. NO I didn't enroll in Magis. AND YOU SHOULDN'T TOO! I would totally send them a long angry e-mail, but you know, I have better things to do with my time. Like, play Spore. Whee!

So, if you're an Atenean (or even if you're from any other school), NEVER EVER enroll in Magis. They suck. I know, I asked around for more (information).

Pfft.

Sorry for all the anger, and everything. So much for the cute new template.

Yay! New Template!

I was getting sick of seeing nothing but my cartoony face and text text text all over my blog, so there you go! A cutesy little template for my blog, so you'll feel like visiting my blog even more! Haha! I'm brilliant, I know. XD

The Spore download is finished! Ha! I shall now go and play! XD

It's that time during the sem break...

...when you've already gone out with all your "barkadas" and you have nothing to do but bum around at home. At least, for most of us who aren't rich enough to go on vacation. But really, this is, for me, the ultimate best part of sem break. This is when you feel like time is of no importance, and you can just go and bum around for the rest of your life. This must be what heaven is like.

But, moving on, I've been trying to make good use of my sem break by catching up on my movies (as I mentioned a few posts ago). And, here are the movies I've seen this week and bite-sized reviews to go with them:

  1. Perfume: The Story of a Murderer - It's an artsy film. I usually don't like films like these that are really graphic for art's sake, but my dad said this was a really great movie, so I watched it along with my family. It's... okay. The plot is pretty good, but somehow I would enjoy more as a novel than as a movie (because nga, it's not a movie for kids like me). Worth watching if you're not easily disturbed.
  2. Journey to the Center of the Earth - Funny, I guess, but Brendan Fraser's old. Too old for his leading lady (aww.) I haven't read the book, so I can't make comparisons, but I think they did a decent job. :)
  3. Mr. and Mrs. Smith - It's a great movie. And it's cool. Yup, that's always a plus for me. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie do suit each other, but still it's not nice to break up other people's families. Boo. Anyway, the movie IS good, great plot, great directing. :D It's funny too.
  4. Step Up 2: The Streets - It's weird how I watched Step Up 2 before I watched Step Up 1. Si Abi kasi eh. But anyway, it's another cool movie. I loved the dancing and stuff. I especially love the climactic dance sequence. With the rain and everything. COOOL. XD Also, better looking leads than the first one! XD
  5. Step Up - Yeah. Dancing. This is less street dancing than the second one, more on classical, I think. I wouldn't really know. The lead looks like a goon, and the girl isn't very pretty. But it's okay. :D
  6. The Holiday - See? I followed my list! Anyway, comments about the movie. Jude Law is gorgeous, and I love his accent (is he really British?) and it's sad how the only movie I ever saw with him in it (AI) made him look ugly. X( Cameron Diaz is fine, but she doesn't seem to change roles. she's always the ditzy, perky blonde girl. isn't she? Kate Winslet is not very pretty but she's great in the role. She reminds me of Emma Thompson, not the most beautiful woman in the world but she has that aura about her. Jack Black is great, but there's not enough of him in the movie! In fact, there's very little. I especially love the character of Arthur Abbott (the old writer dude) and his relationship with Kate Winslet. It's very sweet. :) (Dustin Hoffman's cameo is funny. He looked like he just happened to be there.)
  7. What Happens in Vegas - So now you understand why I'm kind of sick of Cameron Diaz. But I'm not sick of Ashton Kutcher as I have never seen him in a movie. The movie is okay. It's not a great movie, but it's funny and entertains. That's the point of a movie, isn't it?
And now I shall go watch some more movies! Yay! :D

Lumabas na grades sa AISIS!

biting off more than i can chew... again

Remember last year, around this time, I joined this thingy called NaNoWriMo or National Novel Writing Month. It takes all November and the goal is to be able to write a novel of 50000 in the span of 30 days.

Well, it's not impossible. But the question is, can I do it? Me, the queen of procrastination?

We'll see about that. :)

I'm kind of more determined this year that I was last year (I think) so I decide to make an outline. Just so the plot doesn't just wither away in my head. They do that, you know. (Plots, I mean.)

I'll be doing a romance-comedy because I think I have the most experience here. I read loads of them and I happen to write (at least, attempt to) them more than any other genre.

For inspiration, I'm going to watch movies of the same genre! In fact, I have a couple of movies in that genre lining up for me to watch:

  1. Made of Honor (I've heard this isn't that good of a movie, but Patrick Dempsey is in it, and judging by Krizia's obsession and his performance in Enchanted (haha nauna pa obsession ni Krizia. Gusto mo pa rin ba cya?), it'll be worth two hours of my life.)
  2. 27 Dresses
  3. The Holiday
  4. What Happens in Vegas
  5. And more...
Recommendations, anyone?
