Final Grades

Well. My final average was 3.31. However, the requirement for DL is not 3.3 as I had thought but 3.35. o.O

Anyway, 3.31 is already high, I guess... the only difference from my prediction a few posts back was that my English grade was B+ and not B, while my Fil grade was B and not B+. So much for Fil being my "pambawi". After all this time, Fil still is the death of me.

Oh well, that's life. At least hindi ako tanggal sa course di ba? Next sem na lang ulit. :D

If you're seeing the background white, it's not an error. The old background was kind of giving me a headache so now it's just all white. I'll upload a new background sometime soon when I find a nice one.

(actually she might not be back, but hey, I'm being optimistic here!)

Oh and new music soon, I just downloaded all of Jpop (Japanese pop) band ARASHI's singles. Yay! I was watching the PV (Music video. Dont ask me what the P stands for.) of their song "We Can Make It" and I HAD to stop it halfway because MatsuJun's wink was too much for me to handle. Eep. (I couldn't resist that bit of fangirling. I'm sorry)

And um, that's about it. I'm done. More tomorrow about my FINAL GRADES!!! Dundundunnnnnnnn!!!!

Last Sunday, we went to the Chinese temple and guess who we saw? Candice! And her parents and even Maxine, actually. Hehe, wala lang, kwentuhan cyempre, about lots of stuff since it really has been a long time since we talked to each other.

Anyway, I totally messed up. We were supposed to get the final grades (FINGERS CROSSED) and registration forms for enrollment tomorrow and I misinformed everyone (haha) because I thought we had to be there at respective times. This is not my fault in any way however *ahem* because I thought it was going to be like last sem where EVERYTHING was by random number. How would I know???? 3 weeks of sembreak and look what all the internet surfing and drama watching has done to my poor unused brain.

Moving on. Yesterday, Riezeryl and I went on a drama shopping spree in Ongpin. Well, actually it wasn't much of a spree since we were both on tight budgets but I managed to buy 3 dramas namely "Coffee Prince", "My Name is Kim Sam Soon" and "Brown Sugar Macchiato". Riez bought 3 too... :D anyway, I should have just downloaded through the internet, so much cheaper that way, and also i can watch on my dvdrom-less laptop. After lunch we went to Jenalyn's house and looked at all her dramas as always, and also got to see how evil Multimedia Arts is (that's her course)

FINAL GRADES. FINAL GRADES. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Nanowrimo update: Still too lazy but i've got a REAL plot this time. I'll try tomorrow, keyword being "try". That 50k victory is starting to look hazy from my point of view. BUT being the ever optimistic me, I'll do whatever I should to reach that goal! Which means stop being lazy. Haha.

ONGA PALA MATH CHALLENGE NA SA November 12! I can't go. I have classes. Boo. Maybe I'll drop by before commuting to Ateneo though, I'm still not sure. I don't know my schedule by heart yet.

It's 1:37 pm este am and i'm listening to the midi of the song "way back into love". nakakatulala ung midi. i dont like midis, to be honest. i think they sound horrible.

but you know, searching for the midi took me less than a minute. the other methods took a few weeks, give or take.

I might visit sa SSHS sometime soon, ewan ko lang kung kelan.

ho hum. i'm bored. nagsesend ung mga mp3 (tska midi) to my group leader eh. so... i'm bored. that's why i'm blogging. i never blog unless i'm bored or need to rant, and i don't really need to rant now because what i really need is sleep. buti na lang 10:30 pa class ko tmrw. buti na lang, man! ay este, dude pala. whahahaha! obvious ba bored ako. di pa ako naliligo noh. bukas na lang. heehee. if janine read this she would say "yuck baho!" or something like that, and more or less mention the deodorant guy (i.e. Wu Zun in that promotional photo of him and the other Fei Lun Hai members raising their arms.)

okay, first of all, my stupid usb gives up on me. everything i put in it, it doesn't keep! as in sobrang nakakainis tlga yun. kung kelan kailangan ko tsaka cya magtotopak. and no, i dont need it for some minor unimportant thing, it's a REPORT! PLUS THE HISTO PLAY! i mean, yung lit report today eh, tapos ung histo play bukas pa pero kailangan ko nang magburn ng cd of all the songs para maka pag practice mga group mates ko later kahit wala ako (more bout that later) so dapat ittransfer nung groupmate ko sa usb tapos AYAW! so fine cge, sinend na lang nya by ym, tapos kagabi (dahil wala ako kahapon buong araw dahil sa histo play na yan) ko ginawa lahat, as in, yung isang kanta ni-rip ko from youtube, ang hina!!! ginawa ko, nilagay ko sa winamp, tapos equalizer maximum volume man! ginawa ko yun ng ilang beses for 2 songs so like, ang tagal ng time na nagamit dun so mga 1 am na ako natulog dahil cinut ko pa ung ibang songs tapos binurn ko pa.

i have changed from who i was in high school, aka that girl who never studies and doesn't care about her grades (okay, i do. i just dont do anything about them). now, i'm the girl who wants to be in MH (i.e. my course) for as long as possible. could be until next week. hopefully until March 2011.

yeah. so, wala nang long test, or even midterms. biglang nawala ang saysay ng buhay ko. what will I do??? what can i panic about now???

oh wait, i forgot about physics.

i can always have some sinabawang gulay (um, you know, para may kulay, ang buhay...) (...) but then come to think of it, that's cannibalism. :D

Just received the white envelope of doom in the mail! (aka Advisory Marks)

Napakita na rin sa parents... well, di naman super baba grades ko, but then again, they still suck! >.<

Sipnayan on Saturday, originally planned to go with the SSHS team, but then bawal kasi baka sobrang late na ako... haven't informed Sir Tom yet that I'm not joining anymore though.

If you don't see me online that much, it's probably because:

1. I have history midterms tomorrow.
2. I'm saving my internet speed whatever (i think the term is bandwidth but i can't be too sure) downloading Hana Kimi torrents.
3. 16 hours of Camp Math last Saturday. Yeah, I know.

So, well. Can't stay too long!

Physics Long Test. I have long since given up trying to study. It was supposed to be last Wednesday but Divine Interception (aka Egay) blessed us with horrible weather... ironic, I know. Salvation comes in different forms, God works in mysterious ways.

Anyhow, forget all that! I am, in fact, very happy, despite despotic teachers trying to kill us all with horrid manical tests. Why? Because I was able to watch the Japanese version of Hana Kimi! Yay! It stars Oguri Shun, who by the way plays Uchi in Gokusen, and also Rui in Hana Yori Dango... :D (Sorry to those who won't be able to relate...)

You guys can watch it too on Crunchy Roll, but the vids there are bad quality and loads sloooooooooow so maybe you can download it on torrent, but then again I don't know if torrents mean better quality.

Okay, I think I finally got what I was supposed to be observant about in Ely's blog, probably because SHE TOLD ME. Yep. Call me stupid.

Moving on... hey, if you don't like your prize, that is, a commission, you can always ask me to buy you something worth less than 30 pesos, kasi yun lang budget ko. Barat eh, sorry.

Speaking of which, today Abi, Ja, Kathy and I went to MoA! yay!!! we had lunch at Burgoo, then supposedly we were going ice skating and Kathy and Ja even bought socks from SM Dept Store pero di rin natuloy kasi ang mahal... 280... o.O. Instead we watched Rush Hour 3 which was indeed a fun yet rather brainless movie (accdg to Danica) after which we went to Toy Kingdom and looked at all the toys... oooooooooohhhh... tapos... we had frozen yogurt! yay! pero di daw masarap kay abi at kay ja kasi naman nahalo yung flavors nila... well. and then we went to yellow cab to meet up with ja's family (who by the way were the ones who drove us there) then we had pizza.. tapos, tapos na! yay!!! there you go anabelle. condensed na yan! :P

I am done with the take home Physics long test from Hell and am now ready to proceed to the blissful wonderland of SLEEP.

And I just proved my OC-ness... imagine, I encoded every equation/formula/solution. Pati mga freebody diagram dinrawing ko sa Fireworks... well. Baka sa kakatype at encode at graphics-making ko mali-mali mga sagot ko! Hay, oh well. My life's that way. When you need to make lemonade, I make mango juice and say, "Hey! It tastes better than lemonade!"

Sob... my math-deprived self wants to join the Freshmen Math Intersection Challenge... but since I'm not even taking up math, I can't! :(

I miss math. (Gosh, I'm such a nerd, but come on, imagine not having math for soooo long. BTW Physics is SO not math.)

I am NOT on drugs.
Next Wednesday is the AMC, that glorious contest in which I have a better chance of winning than say, MTG or MTAP. Don't ask me why. Maybe I'm destined for greatness in Australia... But anyway, you're probably wondering about the subtitle... well, thing is, next Wednesday, at the exact same time as the AMC, I have Physics lab. And also, next Wednesday, I have no other classes other than Physics lab (free cuts). So, I mean, isn't it perfectly good logic to request a free cut? So that people (not just me) in my class can get a day off without having to come to school early in the morning for 2 hours and just go back home? And besides, according to someone i can't remember (another someone this time) (I think it's Mr Maquiling, our brillant physics lecture teacher whose house was ransacked when he was away on vacation in Tanzania, and when Section K (my section in physics lecture) was suffering under the hand of the female sub we had (by the way, sabi ni mr physics lab teacher, "sexy" daw si evil female sub. see how un-teacher and role model-like he is?) it's perfectly reasonable for a free cut in lab, because there are too many sessions anyway... so at first I asked the brilliant physics lab teacher if we get a zero in the lab activity if we cut (he said yes... sob...) then later on, after a while, dahil di na ako mapakali, i asked for a free cut. do you know what he said in return???? "are you on drugs?"

Ok, first of all, even if i have outrageously large eyebags (which is most probably the reason i'm called a panda) i do not, i repeat, DO NOT take drugs. i mean, hello? where will i get them? (i dont think this is helping) ANYWAY the point is, teachers don't ask their students if they do drugs, i mean come on. i dont even know what drugs look like, and besides even if i did take drugs, hello? where would my common sense be if i told him, "why, yes, i do take drugs, thank you very much"??

because of that, i won't be able to join the AMC and all my hopes of getting a super high score so that the Australian Trust whatever will invite me to migrate to Australia (hey, i can dream, can't I?) will be shattered... and once again, NO I AM NOT ON DRUGS AND NEVER WILL BE. thank you.

The best block ever!
I know you all think (at least you college people) that your block is the best. Well, so do I. Why? Let me count the ways...

First of all, nobody in my block smokes. (at least, i think) in short, they're all pretty decent people, even if they have the tendency to become nerdy (unlike me, who has yet to be converted even after 2 months in college). they are all very nice and friendly... okay, this is so general... here's a specific example, so you guys can understand me better.

last week was one of my blockmates' birthday and he was really planning to do a get together thing in matteo ricci. some of my other blockmates were planning to go to katipunan for lunch since those lucky ducks get a free cut in their english and lit classes which is after lunch. so anyway, they still came to matteo ricci, even if they just popped up without staying long, but the thing is, i think they're pretty nice to have actually made time for one of our blockmates.

so there. i know it's kind of pointless. doesnt prove a thing. but well, it proved something to me. that i have the best block in the world. :D

Coo's busters!
If you have forgotten, Ms Coo is my history teacher who taught us all about that castration thing i posted the other day... she is cool and all that... sabi nya SASSY GIRL daw cya.... hehe, anyway, the thing is she might not be teaching next sem. so sad... you guys (at least those who are in Ateneo or those who are planning to be) wont get to become her student and for once have a fun history class.. well. that's okay, maybe when she comes back after some time, it's not too late! :D

BTW if you're wondering about the title, that's the name of my group, made up by one of my group mates... i have nice groupmates too, even if they're sophomores. I mean, I always thought sophomores were scary. You know, bullying and stuff Well, they aren't. Hahaha.

Celadon: Mid-autumn Gratia (and a bit of other stuff...)
The GA (General assembly. expect this abbreviation to appear a lot) was yesterday, and I (and Isen, too) joined the Food and Drink committee, headed by none other than Kimmy's brother Carl Chua. So I guess, technically he's my cousin, but he doesn't know that. hehe... :D

Anyway, this is actually more about Carl because I find him funny not because he jokes or anything but despite the obvious difference in physical appearance between him and Kim, they are actually quite the same... as in the first thing about him that resembled Kim is how he suddenly said "This sucks" (to himself, though it was rather loud) which is in fact a very Kim-like statement... if you know Kim, you can actually imagine him saying it.

Another factor was how he handled the meeting... it's almost like watching Kim himself. Very business-like with a bit of awkwarness thrown into it.

Now I feel guilty for observing him like a specimen or something.

It's always nice to meet new people.

By the way, Shari, my MTG and AJSS friend from Makati Hope is also in that committee... yay! So when Isen is not around I can at least talk to Shari... haha!

My favorite topic: food!
Atenean food is the best. It's true what Sir Tom says, baka tumaba ako sa kakakain... hay... nababankrupt na nga ako... and besides, my goal in ateneo is to try everything they offer here (food i mean)! (kala mo kung ano goal ko noh?) Eating, for me, is a tortuous art... here's a list of the food I have tried and liked so far...

Sometimes, I feel like one of the wallflowers, those people who keep silent and just try to blend into the background. I was never one of those extremely gregarious people who talk to everyone as if they had been friends for life. It takes quite some time for me to get to know others and feel comfortable around them.

In high school, I was always around people who I have known for years, and I never felt lonely or sad, because I can always find something to talk about. It felt like I belonged to a family who is willing to accept me for who I am. That, though, did not diminish my feeling of loneliness, especially during times when I am pushed to make new friends, and these times made me feel worthless and alone.

Before coming to Ateneo, I feared that I wouldn't fit in, and that I would stick out and feel alone. I was afraid that I wouldn't adapt to the crowd quick enough, and I would feel out of place in this new alien environment. When I came here, though, I wasn't so scared anymore, knowing that everyone is new and we will have as much time as we want to get to know each other. Knowing my block helped me a lot, because even though I do not know them so well, they are very nice people who unconsciously helped me fit in.

I knew then that I wasn't going to be a wallflower again in my life in Ateneo. The feeling I had, was not just satisfaction or happiness, it was a feeling of finding a family that welcomed me with open arms.

Once upon a time, back in Ancient Rome, women were very small, while men were VERY TALL. So wives were problematic and worried about how there were going to clean the ceilings of their houses, which were just high enough to accomodate their husbands' height. So, one woman (being very smart) thought of a brilliant plan! She attached a brush to her husband's helmet so that whenever the husband walked around, he would be cleaning the ceiling at the same time. However, she didnt think of the problems that would arise (and nor did the person... er, ghost writing this) for example, the dust that came from the ceiling would fall on the husband's face... haha, but who cares. this is just fiction, people!

my longest post ever?

So. Today was the "Mathirang Mathibay". *coughcornytitlecough*

Anyhow, the contest started off... okay forget it, i'm switching to kwento mode.

So ganyan. Pumunta ako ng school ng *medyo* maaga, kc kylngn ko pa kunin kay mrs mets yung invitation. But first, I talked to Kathy, Ja and Ana. (kathy was sick...:( ) Then, kinuha ko yung invitation, i went to central office to paxerox and also ask for envelopes (ksama si danette) and then wala lang, un na. we went dun sa may guard to wait for the others. turns out sama pala si justin may contest sa amoranto sports complex. anyway, contestants are: Dream Team! Danette Kevin Willard and alternate Al. Nightmare Team! Charmaine Candice Krizia and alternate Aldrich. Pansin ko lang noh, ung mga ALternate na sina AL at ALdrich parang recurring syllables. But!!! back to the topic.

so we went to up diliman and it was so noisy in the car as always kasi ang gulo gulo ni aldrich but anyway the point is we got there eventually (duh) and then pag baba namin we had to go register and everything, kailangan pang mag pa picture for some strange reason (which i do not know, apparently) so anyway ayun nag picture picture. may booth thingy pa nga ung msa dun and then it was kind of freakish kc the person there was constantly talking to me, parang sales talk, although it was not effective kasi ang mahal mahal ng mga stuff nila!!! i mean imagine, ung set of like i dont know, 100? 200? cards (number 18 card game) is about 168 pesos... hello? they're just pieces of paper!!!! with stuff printed on them, yeah but they're still paper!!!

Also, kailangan naming mamigay ng invite para sa lotm since mga 23 teams pa lang sumali kasi mahirap daw ung contest, walang chance manalo, etc etc. we even tried convincing sir tom to talk to the teacher na taga jubilee pero di ko alam kung tinuloy nya. i gave invites to rizal hs, and a few other schools i dont know. kinausap din ako ng isang taga ateneo, pwede ba daw ilipat sa dec 9, but then i told him, di ako ang nag dedecide, so sorry n lng. kung pwde lang next year ko na gagawin noh. mga i dont know, january?? but then, gusto ni sir, ok lang daw kung maraming conflict. have i mentioned kung gano ka raming conflict on that day????? 1. cmli contest, 2. eco contest, 3. poster making contest, 4. ust hs math camp, 5. india contest. i mean, parang sinadyang sinama lahat... hayyyy.

So yun, elimination round na. Pumila kami sa labas as in under the scorching sun... we were almost literally melting. Buti na lang medyo mabilis lang kmi sa labas kaya, cge ,fine, pila kami. Pag pasok, mga 6 teams lng nasa class room, kc have i mentioned that yung elimination round is GROUP? as in sabay sabay kaming sumasagot. i guess medyo di lang kmi sanay sa bagong system, maayos naman , so anyway, yun. we went on solving. we got like about 10 to 15 answers out of 25 and most of them were wrong anyway. wala kaming nakuha sa diff kahit isa!!! and i was so close!!! wahh...

oo nga pala, bunch of ajss people there. davin, jo, da, jonathan, (and also annabellee... iseeeeen! hehehe. and kyle pala! best friend ni isen yun.) elaine, joson, edmund, and surprise surprise thompson na taga xavier na di ko ineexpect na nandun. di nmn kmi close. di nga kami nag uusap, it's just unusual. di ko alam na magaling pala sya sa math.... nandun din pala si carlo of ateneo math camp na taga grace and we talked a bit but medyo di ko sya pinansin kc distracted ako sa pagdidistribute ng invitation... sorry carlo!!!! but ANYWAY.

we went to lunch in nismed, also where the auditorium where the final round would take place was. We had a little less than two hours to spare. nismed was kind of far from the math dept (even when mr tom chu said it was "malapit". it was kind of "far" for us kasi cyempre it was noon and blazing hot) but still the time was whiled away talking and chatting and all of that stuff.

We came to "Kenneth's Kitchen" something something (forgot the complete name) and i ordered fried chicken since everyone seemed to have ordered that (except for kevin and al who both ordered lasagna and sir tom who ordered embutido. like two pieces lang nga eh, bue kia dit talaga! but then, i guess, what do you expect for 50 pesos. and might i mention that al tried to charm the waitress person but well it didnt work. parehas lang silang dalawang magkapatid. nyahaha!) and also i ordered a strawberry milkshake which for some reason wasnt categorized as a fruit shake unlike candice's and al's bnana shake. nasabihan tuloy si candice na chonggo. which is, you know, actually, what others call ME but hey, you don't hear me complainin' that inaagaw ni candice name ko!

then anyway, i learned a bunch of gossip about kevin making krizia cry because napikon si krizia kay kevin kasi ayaw ni kevin kumanta sa music. bakit ba? ganyan ba kasama boses mo ,kevin? joke!!! anyway, i also learned that mr tan kicked the table which in turn hit or "kicked" however you put it, sharette of 4-V and so by the law of transitivity, mr tan "kicked" sharette. i mean, what??? really???? and he also once grabbed this second year boy named "kevin" also (kevin gaw daw?) by the collar and like, lifted him up and when i found out i was like what!!! grabe naman!!! but anyway the thing is, all this proves is that math nerds know how to gossip too!!! :p

so also during lunch they were solving math... i mean yeah math nerds, you know how we are, then i chanced upon aldrich's theme paper (scratch lang) in english and read it, and i was actually surprised, because, despite some grammatical errors, it was pretty good! and now i dont have to categorize "why aldrich is in the SV" in the list of the world's biggest mysteries (joke lang po. no offense. but honestly nag filipino section sya pero magaling nmn cya english. why dont he just tell his editor na marunong lang cya sa literary filipino. i mean, hey, i dont deny that i dont know how to write news!)

after lunch we headed to the main lobby of nismed where there was a display of some physics stuff which were pretty cool except that they were there since last year when we went to nismed, up diliman for pisikaalaman. so they were nothing new but then again, all ideas for physics projects are welcome!!! then we went around looking at them (si ervin dy sineryoso tlga ung isa dun, ung parang release the chain tangled around the pipe things on the ground) then there was this real cool one na mag bike ka then then a light bulb will light then, a mini fan, then a tv! i mean, it was way neat!

so we went upstairs waited for like 1 minute and then we were in the auditorium! it WAS where the pisikaalaman was held! so we went to the balcony, grabbed seats and bored ourselves to death. no, actually, inannounce kung cno pumasok sa quarter finals. pasok sila danette. but they were like the 3rd batch pa so we had to wait for the first two batches to finish. buti n lng we didnt stay till like, 7 pm, which we might have stayed until, if danette's group had gotten in the finals.

so, for the rest of the contest, i read the alchemist and finished it even, read archie which danette brought, and ate the sandwich i brought, and also fell asleep. (pinicturan pa ako ni krizia... ack!) then tapos na, i didnt even know what happened during the contest, just did nothing, it was wayyyyyyy boring (no offense) then the 3rd batch was done and we were leaving because di pasok sila danette sa next round.

then we went home! on the way it was super super magulo pero masaya din i guess kasi si al was like acting all homo like which was disturbing, and he was falling all over aldrich (who might i mention wala nang boses since this morning... i mean, pano cya mag eemcee!!! oh right. i havent mentioned that he's the replacement emcee for aaron because of aaron joining cmli... gusto nmn ni aldrich eh.) and then aldrich moved beside me then it was rather crowded on our side then haynako basta! ang init pa naman nun! nahilo tuloy si candice.

si al at kevin bumaba na sa bahay nila, then i went to school pa for some reason ( dapat mag chochorale kaso lang tapos na pala, kinuha ko n lng el fili ko from the locker.) then went right home and enjoyed my day.

BUT di pa tapos ang kwento!!! after dinner at home, there's banana for dessert, then what do i do, i put them in a blender and whoooosh, banana shake! :D see? marunong din ako gumawa noh! ako lang nagenjoy kasi ayaw nila mama and papa and everyone else. fine, ang sarap sarap nga eh!

and here ends charmaine's day. my eyes look like this na @.@ and i have been sleeping at midnight for the past few days, no wonder i look like @.@. so, goodnight, God bless! it's 11:38 pm, and time for me to sleep! thanks!
